"Culture guides
discretionary behavior and it picks up where the employee handbook leaves off.
Culture tells us how to respond to an unprecedented service request. It tells
us whether to risk telling our bosses about our new ideas, and whether to
surface or hide problems. Employees make hundreds of decisions on their own
every day, and culture is the guide."
This quote from the Harvard Business Review portrays the
culture at Aberdeen Chrysler. In our industry, there are often
times when a decision has to be made that isn’t covered in the employee
handbook. We pride ourselves on being able to make the right decision because
we have employees that understand our mission and values and have been trained
the right way.
We recently updated our staff page to include bios. When they were asked what their favorite part about working at Aberdeen Chrysler, there was one common theme – the people. Whether it is the customers or their co-workers, our staff enjoys coming to work every day and interacting with everyone that walks through our doors.
So what is it about our culture that sets us apart? We're glad you asked.
“It starts with the people we hire. We’re looking for
career-minded folks that are wanting to be a part of a team and they must fit
our five core philosophies: customer
enthusiasm, employee satisfaction, financial performance, marketing
effectiveness and on-going improvement. We believe very strongly that
organizations like ours are at its best when the entire team has a set of
common goals and values to rally around. Our employees know that every
executive decision is done so with our core values and philosophies taking
precedence above all else.” – Toby Doeden, General Manager
“I was welcomed from my first day here and have been
given every opportunity to achieve my personal and professional goals. If you earn it, you'll be given every opportunity to succeed here. As someone who is now in a
leadership position, I’ve seen many people grow within our company. To see
someone that you hire, train and mentor realize their potential and commit
themselves is by far the most rewarding part of my job.” – Tony Emery, General Sales Manager
“Aberdeen Chrysler is the only true “best price”
dealership in town. Our employees take a lot of pride in that. There are no
uncomfortable negotiations. We value every customer no matter what vehicle they
are in search of. Overall, working at Aberdeen Chrysler is being a part of one
big family. There’s a special bond that you don’t see at other companies. To
me, that is a rare quality to find in the workplace and one of the things I
value most about being employed here.” – Landon Jondahl, New Car Sales Manager
“We have a unique work environment, especially for a
dealership. In the dealership setting, you often see departments not get along
with each other. Here, it’s not that way at all. Everyone works together and
supports one another. We really get to know one another and have fun together.
Many of our employees hang out outside of work and get to know each other’s
families. Working at Aberdeen Chrysler is truly being part of a family.” – Jessica Sauvage, Human Resources Director
At
Aberdeen Chrysler, we don't just talk about it. We back it up. When you walk through our doors, you will feel the difference.
